Cembre Crimp Terminals

Cembre PVC insulated Ring, Fork, Pin and Blade crimp terminals have a unique funnel shape to the PVC sleeve guaranteeing total insertion of the conductor strands, creating a secure and reliable electrical and mechanical connection. The internal surface of the barrel is rifled to improve contact with the conductor strands when crimped.

The barrels of Cembre PVC insulated Butt or Through connectors are manufactured from tin plated copper tube with a PVC outer sleeve insulator. Used to create secure connections between joining cables. Crimp with Cembre HP3 ratchet crimper.

Cembre PKE and PKC polypropylene insulated end sleeves were developed to reinforce the fine wire strands when terminating a cable into a connector block. The difference between the two types is their colour coding scheme they use otherwise they are physically the same.

Cembre Copper Tube crimping lugs have a much high copper content than many of its competitors. The cross section of the lug has the same copper content as the conductors it's attached to, allowing the joint to carry the same current as the conductor without the risk of burning out. They are annealed (slowly cooled) which plays a vital role in avoiding cracking or breaks between the barrel and palm, particularly if the application subjects them to vibration. The lugs are electrolytically tin plated to avoid oxidation and the presence of an inspection hole facilitates full insertion of the conductor. Each lug is stamped with the manufacturer and lug size for confidence in fitting and traceability.

Designed to terminate conductors into contact blocks, Cembre Pin connectors are manufactured from copper strip, rolled, brazed and tin plated.

Cembre's uninsulated through connectors are used for joining low voltage conductors. They feature an internal taper at both ends and a central stop to ensure the correct positioning of the conductor. Manufactured from annealed copper and electrolytically tin plated ensures long lasting, secure connections.

A-4ESI series Cembre Transformer lugs are made from high purity electrolytic copper tube, annealed and tin plated. The four hole stud fixing in accordance with E.A. specifications ensure compatibility with most transformer fixing arrangements. The high copper content of the lugs ensures they can carry the same current as the conductor and each terminal is marked with the manufacturer and lug size for confidence in tracability.
