Gear Keeper Tool Tethers & Lanyards
Gear Keeper tool tethers and wrist lanyards prevent the dropping of tools and other equipment when working at height, protecting co workers from falling objects and damage to tools.
Gear Keeper personal tool tethers provide secure attachment of tooling items such as power tools to a safety harness without impeding their use. A stainless steel carabiner with locking gate provides the attachment to the harness, different options are available for attaching the tool, including another stainless steel carabiner, fixed lanyard and removable lanyards that can be left attached to the tool and inserted/removed from the tether as required. A length of 3/4" Super Coil provides the necessary dampening if the tool is accidently dropped, preventing a sudden jerk that could unbalance the operative.
An anchored tool tether using 1" Super Coil, the long working length (94-114cm retracted, 315cm extended) allows one of the stainless steel locking carabiners to be attached to a suitable structure while the other end is attached to the object being secured.
A retractable tool lanyard with two mount systems, a snap clip and a belt clamp. The belt clamp fixes the tool belt and allows rotation in any direction, minimising resistance and line wear. The lanyards are interchangable so they can remain fixed to the tools allowing tools to be quickly interchanged by clipping in the elasticated lanyard to the retractable tool tether.
A retractable tool lanyard that attaches to to the wrist with a velcro strap. Interchangable lanyards allow for the quick changing of tools.
A fixed length (510mm) wrist lanyard that attaches a tool directly to the wrist with a velcro strap.
A retractable lanyard that fastens a helmet to a saftety harness to prevent dropping. The retractor keeps the lanyard close to the body, minimising entanglement.
