Heaxgon Head Set Screws
Hexagon head setscrews are available in steel, either zinc plated or hot dip galvanised for additional corrosion protection, brass or stainless steel. The difference between a bolt and a setscrew is a setscrew is threaded up to the head whereas a bolt will have a part plain shank.
Set screws are threaded right up to the head as opposed to bolts where part of the shank is unthreaded. High Tensile Set Screws (HT sets) are manufactured from 8.8 grade steel and then zinc plated providing corrision resistance. Sizes are shank diameter x length to base of head. DIN 933, ISO:4017.
